KU Biodynamics Laboratory

Outside View of Spahr Auditorium, part of the engineering complex

The Biodynamics Laboratory is affiliated with both the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Bioengineering Graduate Program. We also collaborate with researchers from the departments of Electrical Engineering in Lawrence, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science, and Molecular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.

If you are a prospective/current undergraduate or graduate student interested in working at the Biodynamics Laboratory, please feel free to contact any of the current graduate students, and/or Dr. Luchies to discuss possible opportunities. Funded and non-funded positions in the lab will be listed in the Participation & Outreach tab of this website.

If you are an institution looking to partner with the Biodynamics Laboratory on a possible project, please contact Dr. Carl Luchies (Director) via email or phone to discuss further details.
